Ann Dieckmann Art

Over the last 8 years I’ve explored using different media in 2D and 3D including coloured glass, sculpture, pottery, painting in oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolour. Recently my creative journey has focused on finding my unique artistic voice. My environment, whether I’m travelling or at home, gives me the impetus to pick up a brush or a pen. I want to capture the essence of the colourful things I see. I find places (generally involving the sea or other watery environments) inspire me to create vibrant work in acrylic and watercolour. I like to tell the stories of real people whether it’s children I’ve taught in Zanzibar or those I admire but am never likely to meet.
